Transportation Orange County has an
excellent transportation system, with air, rail and
local bus service providing access throughout the
county as well as to major metropolitan areas
including New York City and Albany.
Airports
Stewart International Airport is located in the
Orange County towns of New Windsor and Newburgh.
Situated near the intersection of I-84 and I-87 (NYS
Thruway), it is a convenient alternative to crowded

Orange County Airport, located on Route 211 in
Montgomery, is a public airport owned and operated
by Orange County. It is a low-cost provider of
non-commercial, quality airport services, including
aircraft sales and service, charter flights and
consulting services, as well as facilities for

Rail Services
In a cooperative effort with
Metro North,
New Jersey
Transit provides train service to Orange County on
the Port Jervis line with stops at Tuxedo, Harriman,
Cornwall, Campbell Hall, Middletown, Otisville and
Port Jervis. Metro North provides service to New
York City and into Connecticut via the Port Jervis

rail service.
Bus Service ShortLine Bus/Coach USA provides both interstate and
intrastate service. There is frequent service
between Orange County and New York City, as well as
many destinations in the Hudson Valley, the Southern

Gallagher Transportation Services/Leprechaun
operates a bus-rail shuttle to New York City via the
Beacon MetroNorth train station. Commuter service is
also provided to White Plains. Service is also
